Camp Abilities Oregon
Camp Abilities is a developmental sports camp for youth who are blind or visually impaired ages 8-15. It promotes independence and life skills through sports and physical activity. Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) hosts Camp Abilities Oregon on Willamette Universities campus in Salem, OR. We have space available for 55 campers and 30 counselors. This program is at no cost to attendees. Below is an outline of information needed to know for camp. Once you have decided on registering, click the link for your designated role. If you have any questions or concerns about eligibility requirements, please call our office. We have requirements to ensure a safe and fun environment. We are very accommodating and like to speak with parents, guardians and/or teachers about their camper to ensure we are making the best decision for all parties involved.
If you are a first time parent or guardian visiting our site and are nervous about sending your child to camp. We have families who would love to share about their experiences to help you make your decision. Please contact us if you wish to speak to another parent or guardian on their camp experience.
