Bequests

A bequest is one of the easiest ways to make a planned gift to support NWABA’s transformational programs for individuals who are visually impaired. Below is language that can be used to assist with your planning:

Outright Gift:

“I give (specific dollar amount or percentage of estate) to Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Washington, headquartered in Vancouver, WA, to be used to support (the organization’s general programs and services or insert specific project or program).

Residue Gift:

I give (specific dollar amount or percentage of estate) to Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, a nonprofit corporation of the State of Washington, headquartered in Vancouver, WA, all or (insert percentage) of the rest, residue or remainder of my estate, to be used to support (the organization’s general programs and services or insert specific project or program).

Northwest Association for Blind Athletes encourages supporters to consult with their financial advisor or attorney before considering a planned gift of any nature.

If you have already prepared your will and estate planning, your attorney can include a bequest to Northwest Association for Blind Athletes by adding a codicil including the bequest language.
