Vancouver, Washington—September 25th, 2015—The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) announced today that the 2015 Vision for Opportunities Fundraising Breakfast, presented by Riverview Community Bank, on September 22nd raised more than $20,000 to support the organization’s life-changing programs for children, youth, adults and veterans who are blind and visually impaired.
“On behalf of our board, volunteers, and staff, I would like to thank everyone who generously supported this event and our programs for individuals with visual impairments. Funds will help individuals of all ages and abilities who are blind or visually impaired gain the confidence and self-esteem they need to be successful.” said Founder/Executive Director, Billy Henry.
Northwest Association for Blind Athletes is currently raising funds to drastically expand the organization’s life-changing programs to serve more individuals with visual impairments. Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides programming to over 1,000 individuals of all ages and ability levels with visual impairments. The mission of NWABA is to provide life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired. The Association was formed by a group of visually impaired students in 2007 to ensure that people who are blind were participating in sports and physical activity.
