Northwest Association for Blind Athletes to Host an Adaptive Swimming Clinic for Individuals who are Blind and Visually Impaired in Eugene, OR
Vancouver, Washington—November 7th, 2017—Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) announced today that it will be hosting an adapted swimming clinic for individuals who are blind and visually impaired in Eugene, OR. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th at Sheldon Pool & Fitness Center (2443 Willakenzie Rd. Eugene, OR). The event is at capacity with registrations, but if anyone has interest in volunteering, they are encouraged to contact NWABA at 360-768-5649. This is the first of the swimming clinics the Association will be offering during the fall and winter seasons.
“We are extremely excited to provide this swimming program for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in our Eugene community. The addition of the swimming program represents NWABA’s long-term vision of enhancing and expanding on-going, consistent programming to improve the quality of life for individuals of all ages and abilities with visual impairments throughout the Willamette Valley.” said Founder & Executive Director Billy Henry.
