Rod Cook Appointed to Northwest Association for Blind Athletes Board of Directors

Vancouver, Washington—June 20th, 2016—The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) announced today Rod Cook has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors. Cook was the Owner and President of Alpine Auto Body for more than 35 years before selling the company in May, 2014 and retiring. Since that time, he has remained very active in the Clark County, WA community.

“I’m excited and privileged for this opportunity.  Northwest Association for Blind Athletes is an innovative organization that is changing lives in our community, and I am excited to be a part of it. I look forward to working with my fellow board members to enhance and expand our mission and programs to improve the quality of life for individuals with visual impairments.” said Cook.

Cook will join other community leaders throughout the region in helping Northwest Association for Blind Athletes achieving its mission of providing life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.

Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides programming to more than 1,200 individuals of all ages and ability levels with visual impairments. The mission of NWABA is to provide life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired. The Association was formed by a group of visually impaired students in 2007 to ensure that people who are blind were participating in sports and physical activity.
