Raise the Bar, Raise the Impact

Raise the Bar is more than just a happy hour—it’s an opportunity to change lives. Join more than 250 business and community leaders for an inspiring evening of connection, philanthropy, and purpose as we invest in a future where every child, youth, and adult who is blind or visually impaired has the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout the evening, you’ll hear powerful stories from individuals whose lives have been transformed through NWABA. While sports and physical activity are the foundation of our programs, the true impact reaches far beyond the field or trail. Participants gain confidence, independence, lifelong friendships, improved health, and the belief that they can accomplish more than they imagined.

Together, we can create a future where no one faces blindness alone and every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Everyone deserves an opportunity…

…to build confidence, friendships, independence, and a sense of belonging.

For many children and adults who are blind or visually impaired, opportunities to participate alongside their peers simply don’t exist. Too often, they experience isolation, lower expectations, and barriers that limit their confidence and independence.

NWABA is changing that.

Through sports and physical activity, we create environments where individuals build lifelong friendships, develop critical life skills, improve their physical and mental well-being, and discover what’s possible. Every program is designed to empower participants not only to succeed in recreation, but in school, careers, and everyday life.

Supporting NWABA’s Mission

With your support, NWABA will continue providing life-changing opportunities that help children, youth, and adults who are blind or visually impaired lead more active, independent, and fulfilling lives.

Whether it’s skiing with a  guide, tandem cycling, kayaking, or track and field, each experience is about much more than learning a new sport. Participants develop confidence, strengthen social connections, build independence, and discover they are capable of achieving their goals in all areas of life.

Your support of Raise the Bar ensures these opportunities remain available to every individual and family we serve, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Why Raise the Bar?

When you attend Raise the Bar, you’re investing in people—not just programs.

Your support helps remove barriers that too often prevent individuals who are blind or visually impaired from experiencing connection, confidence, and opportunity. NWABA provides expert instruction, adaptive equipment, caring mentors, and an inclusive community where participants are encouraged to challenge themselves, build meaningful relationships, and discover new possibilities.

The result is far greater than participation in sports. It is increased independence, stronger self-confidence, improved physical and mental health, lasting friendships, and lives forever changed.
