She was nominated in part due to her undying dedication to the organization and the impact she has made on the individuals NWABA serves.

Stacey began her career at NWABA in 2014 as their Director of Programs and was promoted in April as the organization’s VP of Programs and Services. Throughout her tenure, Stacey has driven strategic growth for the organization’s overall programs and services and continues to deepen the mission impact by leading the programs team to continually provide best in class service delivery, broadening opportunities for children, youth and adults who are blind and visually impaired throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

Additionally, Stacey is involved with other opportunities that positively impact others, taking on a leadership role with the Pacific Northwest Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (PNWAERBVI). She has served several years in the role as president, an elected position by teachers and other professionals in the blindness education field. Stacey has also been recognized by the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) as an APH Scholar for the unique and inspirational ways that she provides important recreation and leisure opportunities and options to children and youth in the Pacific Northwest.

Scott McCallum, Superintendent, Washington State School for the Blind recognizes, “Stacey Gibbins is a gem who makes our community more vibrant, beautiful, and accessible for those with Disabilities.”

“On behalf of our entire Northwest Association for Blind Athletes Team, we want to congratulate Stacey for being named Accomplished & Under 40 from the Vancouver Business Journal. Since Stacey joined NWABA in 2014, she has championed the transformation of our programs and services and truly helped NWABA achieve our next level of impact. Thank you, Stacey, for all that you do for our athletes and families. We look forward to many more years of continued growth.” – Billy Henry, Founder, President & CEO, Northwest Association for Blind Athletes
