NWABA Finds a Second Home by Opening New Office in Boise

Photo of NWABA sign and new Idaho office building.Although Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) started providing sports and physical activities to individuals who are blind and visually impaired, in Southwest Washington more than 15 years ago, we have also been providing programs and services in the Idaho area since 2012. We’re excited to announce as of September 2022, we’ve decided to solidify our ever-growing expansion by opening a second location in Boise Idaho.

“We are incredibly excited to have a permanent presence in Idaho. Our new office in Boise allows us to expand our life-changing programs and services. This new location will support expansion of more ongoing weekly programs, development of new services, and deepen engagement with the individuals and families we serve across Idaho.” – said Billy Henry, Founder, President & CEO

Our expanded presence in the state of Idaho will significantly increase program services for individuals of all ages and abilities who are blind or visually impaired. We have plans to deliver more in-person programming, lend equipment to students and teachers in rural communities across Idaho, and provide critical programs and services to help individuals with visual impairments reach their greatest potential in all areas of life.

To celebrate this big endeavor, NWABA will be partnering with the Boise Chamber of Commerce to host an open house event on Thursday, September 29th from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm at the new office located at 1444 S. Entertainment Avenue, Suite 201, in Boise. Stop by to see the new office space, enjoy refreshments, and meet NWABA leadership and members of the Program Team in Idaho.

We look forward to NWABA’s growth in other areas in the upcoming future!
