NWABA's Sports Adaptations Program provides equipment lending, a comprehensive instructional video library and consultations for athletes, educators, school districts and families.
NWABA lends adapted sports equipment to registered athletes for up to two months at no cost to the individual, school or family, so that our athletes are able to fully participate in physical education and engage in physical activity.
Offering instructional videos for different sports and physical activities for individuals who are blind and visually impaired, as a resource to students, educators, families and schools.
NWABA provides consultations to teachers, Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, administrators and school districts on how to provide inclusive physical education and after school sports for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
NWABA offers live and pre-recorded, audio-described virtual workouts including yoga, tai chi, strength training, Zumba and more to help with balance, cardio and core strength.
NWABA also supports the community by increasing visibility and awareness throughout the region, as well as providing scholarships and grants to local sports teams and individuals who are blind and vision impaired.
