If any of the above-named beneficiaries disclaims or predecease me, I bequeath his or her share to the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, Tax ID: 26-0244283, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington State to be used for its general purposes.
If you have already prepared your will and estate planning, your attorney can include a bequest to Northwest Association for Blind Athletes by adding a codicil including the bequest language.
Naming NWABA as a beneficiary of your IRA or other qualified retirement account, including stock accounts, is easy to do. Simply update the “Beneficiary Form”, on your retirement plan’s website and provide the contact information and Tax ID/EIN number above.
Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your (Required Minimum Distribution) RMD to NWABA and provide the contact information and Tax ID/EIN number above.
Please keep in mind that a QCD must be initiated by your retirement fund directly and mailed directly to NWABA. If the funds pass through you, in any way, the tax benefits outlined above do not apply.
